Subject: More Arab Flight Students

Fourteen Algerian nationals entered the U.S. over the weekend to train at a
Texas flight school, immigration inspectors told WorldNetDaily. They followed on
the heels of 14 Syrian nationals who arrived for flight school less than two
weeks earlier.

Like the wave of Syrian men before them, the Algerian men, also in their 20s,
flew into Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport where they were processed by
the Immigration and Naturalization Service. They carried M-1 visas allowing them
to stay in the U.S. on a temporary basis to attend vocational schools.

Texas INS agents, alarmed at the surge in Middle Eastern flight students after
the Sept. 11 hijackings by Islamic terrorists, documented the Algerian group for
the FBI, which chose not to detain the men for additional questioning.

Unlike Syria, Algeria is not on the State Department's list of
terrorist-sponsoring countries.

But the North African nation, home to the Armed Islamic Group and al-Qaida
cells, has been identified by State as a growing hub of terrorist activity.
Algeria borders Libya, which is an officially designated terrorist state.

After the Sept. 11 hijackings, the FBI questioned an Algerian man attending the
American Flyers flight school in Fort Worth.

The FBI's Dallas division has received thousands of leads pertaining to Middle
Eastern men entering at DFW airport to attend area flight schools.

The Algerians are enrolled at Tyler International School of Aviation in Tyler,
Texas, sources say. It's the only school at Tyler airport.

A school spokesman declined comment.

As WorldNetDaily first reported Oct. 16, the Syrians are attending Delta
Qualiflight Aeronautics at Meacham airfield in Fort Worth. The school is owned
and operated by Khaled Miloud.

Many of the Sept. 11 hijackers attended similar flight schools in Florida.

One of Osama bin Laden's lieutenants recently promised to hit America with
another "storm of planes."

Crawford ranch security

Fort Worth is roughly 80 miles north of Crawford, Texas - where President Bush
owns a ranch. He and his family frequently visit there. Tyler is roughly 120
miles northeast of Crawford.

Crawford Mayor Robert Campbell says he's received no specific terrorist
warnings.

He says Secret Service agents are stationed there around the clock, making it
"quite difficult" for terrorists to strike.

"The Secret Service, sheriff's department and military have the situation under
control," Campbell told WorldNetDaily. "We're pretty confident that if we get
any information [about an attack], we can respond quickly."

He adds that U.S. Air Force bases near Dallas and Austin can quickly put up
fighter jets to intercept any suspicious aircraft. Crawford is located between
Dallas and Austin near Waco.

Iranian martial artists

In another development, INS sources told WorldNetDaily that six Iranian
nationals entered at DFW airport last week. They told inspectors they were
visiting the U.S. to attend a martial arts tournament.

Another group of eight Iranians arrived to go to what they claimed to be a
building-materials competition.

Iran is one of the seven countries on State's terrorist watch list.

Federal authorities do not plan to check up on the high-risk foreign visitors to
see if they actually report to their destinations. And no computerized tracking
system exists to alert authorities to foreigners who overstay their visas.

Bush, who just months before the attacks considered giving blanket amnesty to
millions of Mexican aliens, earlier this week proposed tightening visa
enforcement.

But his plan stops short of suspending visas for students and visitors from Arab
terrorist states. They are still welcome in the U.S. - as long as their visa
applications are OK'd by embassy workers in their home countries, and as long as
they don't show up on federal "lookout" lists of suspected terrorists.

Subject: Pakistan sends supplies to Taliban

The Taliban militia is receiving military and other supplies covertly
from Pakistan despite the Islamabad government's backing for American
military operations, according to U.S. officials.
      The military goods, including ammunition and fuel, are being
sent with the help of elements of the Pakistani government, said
officials familiar with intelligence reports of the transfers.
      Officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the
trade is approved by officials of the Pakistani military and the
Inter-Services Intelligence service (ISI). The ISI, in particular, is
said to have close ties with the Taliban regime.
      The trade is said to take place at night by trucks. The goods
travel from Quetta to the Pakistani border town of Chaman and then on
to Kandahar, a known Taliban stronghold.
      "There are two border control regimes: One before sundown and
one after sundown," said one official.
      The trade violates a resolution by the United Nations imposed in
December that bars arms transfers to Afghanistan or the ruling
Taliban militia.
      The continuing support for the Taliban by Pakistan's
intelligence service highlights the difficulties faced by Islamabad
in supporting U.S. military operations against the Taliban and al
Qaeda terrorist training camps.
      Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf several weeks ago fired ISI
chief Lt. Gen. Mahmood Ahmed who was viewed as insufficiently loyal.
      Gen. Musharraf said during the recent visit to Pakistan by
Secretary of State Colin L. Powell that his government would provide
intelligence, overflight rights and logistical support "as long as
the operation" in Afghanistan goes on.
      It could not be learned whether the illicit trade is approved by
the Pakistan government or is taking place behind the back of Gen.
Musharraf.
      A Pakistani Embassy spokesman denied the government was involved
in any arms shipments or supplies to the Taliban. "This is certainly
not true," said Mian Asad Hayauddin, the spokesman.
      Mr. Hayauddin said, however, that the border with Afghanistan is
porous, especially in the southern area and that local tribes are
known to conduct cross-border trade.
      Asked about foreign military supplies to the Taliban, a senior
defense official said recently, "We know of no significant aid
organized aid from a foreign state." The official would not answer
when asked to detail the aid.
      Meanwhile, Rear Adm. John Stufflebeem, deputy director of
operations for the Joint Staff, confirmed that B-52 bombers are being
used to attack Taliban troops and terrorist training camps.
      New reports from Afghanistan have shown U.S. bombing raids using
500-pound bombs in areas north of Kabul.
      "The B-52s are being utilized in areas all over the country,
including on Taliban forces in the North," said Adm. Stufflebeem. He
declined to elaborate on the targets of the B-52 bombers but disputed
that the raids were "carpet bombing" - high-altitude bomb drops that
were used in the Vietnam War.
      "I think it's an inaccurate term," said Adm. Stufflebeem. "It's
an old expression. Heavy bombers have the capacity to carry large
loads of weapons, and oftentimes if a target presents itself either
in an engagement zone, or when directed, it's possible to release an
entire load of bombs at once, in which case the real formal term for
that is called a 'longstick,' which has also been called carpet
bombing."
      The use of B-52s "is part of our campaign," he said. "We do use
it and have used it, and we'll use it when we need to."
      The use of the B-52s in area bombing raids has followed the
arrival in the past few days of U.S. troops who are assisting the
opposition Northern Alliance by helping to identify targets and
directing U.S. air strikes.
      Pentagon officials said the U.S. soldiers have helped make the
bombing raids more effective.
      U.S. intelligence officials said the Pakistani government of
Gen. Musharraf is struggling against internal opposition from hard-
line Islamic elements within the military and intelligence service
that are sympathetic to the Taliban. "The Taliban is a creature of
the ISI," one official said.
      Two Indian newspapers reported last month that Indian
intelligence services said that Pakistani military-ISI elements were
helping the Taliban with military supplies, including aviation fuel
and ammunition.
      The Pioneer newspaper of New Delhi stated that Pakistan military
and intelligence officials are based in Afghanistan and are assisting
the Taliban military forces.
      The Deccan Herald of Bangalore, quoting a classified Indian
intelligence report, stated that the arms from Pakistan to the
Taliban were being sent disguised as United Nations humanitarian
relief supplies.
      Adm. Stufflebeem said Taliban "command and control" - the system
used to communicate and direct orders to troops - has been "cut"
and "degraded."
      "They're having extreme difficulty communicating one to
another," Adm. Stufflebeem said. "Mullah Omar is still their leader,
their commander. They are still attempting to be able to communicate
with Mullah Omar. They are also trying to be resupplied and
reinforced, and they're having difficulties in all of that. We
believe that that puts a terrific amount of stress on their military
capability as their regional commanders, who have been used to a lot
of top-down control, may not be getting that now."
      Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, meanwhile, leaves today
for Russia and Central Asia. In Moscow, he will discuss arms-control
issues and he will then travel to undisclosed Central Asian nations
for talks with leaders on the operations in Afghanistan.

             A Westchester County police officer who was injured while trying to
stop New York Senator Hillary Clinton's van after it blew past an airport
security checkpoint 16 days ago, has yet to receive an apology from her or
anyone on her staff.

             "I can tell you, no," Officer Ernest Dymond told NewsMax.com
Tuesday, when asked whether Mrs. Clinton had contacted him to express any
concern over the injury that has rendered him unable to return to active duty
for more than two weeks.

             Dymond declined to describe the extent of his injury or predict when
he thought he might be able to return to work, saying, "Our department has a
policy that all information go through the public information officer."

             The 19-year police veteran did explain that previous reports placing
Mrs. Clinton in a limousine when her car sped through the Westchester County
Airport checkpoint he was manning on Oct. 14 were inaccurate.

             "She was not in a limousine. She was in a full-size Ford conversion
van - and that made it even more suspect to us," Dymond said.

             "I didn't know if we had a terrorist," the temporarily disabled cop
had previously told the Washington Times.

             "The van went by me and we ordered them to stop and it continued
going and we continued to yell to stop," Officer Dymond told NewsMax.com. "At
that point I banged as hard as I could on the side of the van to let the driver
know he had to stop."

             Despite his harrowing encounter with the nation's most-famous
elected Democrat, the publicity-shy policeman said he has turned down several
requests for media interviews, explaining, "I've had my 15 minutes of fame."

             In fact, reporters in New York and nationwide have overwhelmingly
ignored the incident, raising questions about possible pressure by Sen.
Clinton's office.

             A spokesman for Mrs. Clinton declined to return NewsMax.com's call
requesting comment on why she hadn't contacted Dymond to express regrets for his
injury.

Let us get real. I respect human life but have a problem with our ENEMIES
that "scream and yell about killing ALL Americans while we sit here and and
expend our military resources to MAYBE get the worst  terrorist in the world.
Lets go back to President Bushes use of the word"harbor". The people that are
doing the  hollering are not only in Afganistan or Iraq ETC. They are right
here in our country. When the Japs attacked Pearl Harbor we put there country
men in camps. Maybe right and maybe wrong but they where out of the
conflict.We have had enough demonstrations of the supposedly Islamic
Americans to make us very suspect of their loyalty. I really believe that if
a poll was to be taken and answered honestly our Islamic friends would hooray
for what the terrorists{correction} murderers}Have accomplished.
I hope that our President is just stalling for time for us to get into a
position militarily where we can just tell these scum bags cease and desist
or thats it.Back to my respect for human life. It is far more than those
stupid bastards that started all this shit.I would notify the major cities of
these assholes 48 hours ahead of time and then nuke em. I spent 20 years in
SAC and learned to Love the bomb. If we had used it in Korea there would not
have been A DNam. That rounds out to about 100,000 more of us but a lot less

A PROCLAMATION

Two hundred and twenty-five years ago, the signers of the Declaration of
Independence declared that "all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by
their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life,
Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness."

Throughout the course of American history, courageous men and women have taken
up arms to secure, defend, and maintain these core principles upon which our
Nation's freedoms depend. On September 11, 2001, terrorists ruthlessly attacked
our land and these freedoms. The terrorists' deluded attempt to assail our
spirit failed, and our Nation's response reveals that the spirit of freedom is
as strong as ever. Our troops are now fighting overseas to defeat terrorism,
and, in that effort, they follow in the footsteps of the 48 million men and
women who, since our Nation's founding, have stepped forward to defend our land.

Today, there are more than 25 million living veterans who served our Nation in
times of peace and war. Many of them willingly entered harm's way to fight for
our freedoms. These veterans have diverse religious beliefs and come from
varying backgrounds and ethnicities. By their service, they kept America strong,
and they have protected our way of life from tyranny's grip for over two
centuries. At this moment, men and women of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines,
and Coast Guard are serving around the world. They represent our resolute
dedication to achieving a lasting peace out of the new challenges and threats of
the 21st century.

On Veterans Day, let us pause to reflect on the sacrifices of all of those who
have put on the uniform to serve in the United States military. Let us honor our
veterans, who proved their heroism and love of country time and again, from
Yorktown and Gettysburg to Iwo Jima and the Persian Gulf. They consistently
defended our ideals across the globe; and they continue to inspire those who
defend America today, half a world away. More than a million have died in
service to America; and more than a million and a half have been wounded. Some
sustained serious injuries in combat and now live with disabilities. Our Nation
will always be grateful for the noble sacrifices made by these veterans. We can
never adequately repay them. But we can honor and respect them for their
service.

As we consider the sacrifices and efforts of our veterans, we must never forget
that freedom comes at a cost. Therefore, I ask all schools to observe November
11 through November 17, 2001, as National Veterans Awareness Week, and to invite
a veteran to speak at their school. This "Lessons in Liberty" initiative will
serve to honor America's veterans, while reminding young people of the strong
principles upon which our Nation is founded. Our veterans have much to share
with our young people about liberty, patriotism, democracy, and independence.
They are living examples of the timeless truth that freedom is not free. I call
upon our veterans to serve our country in a different way, by teaching a new
generation of young Americans the importance of the liberties they helped
secure.

In respect and recognition of the contributions our service men and women have
made to the cause of peace and freedom, the Congress has provided (5 U.S.C. 6103
(a)) that November 11 of each year shall be set aside as a legal public holiday
to honor veterans.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do
hereby proclaim November 11, 2001, as Veterans Day and urge all Americans to
observe November 11 through November 17, 2001, as National Veterans Awareness
Week. I urge all Americans to recognize the valor and sacrifice of our veterans
through appropriate public ceremonies and private prayers. I call upon Federal,
State, and local officials to display the flag of the United States and to
encourage and participate in patriotic activities in their communi--ties. I
invite civic and fraternal organizations, places of worship, schools,
businesses, unions, and the media to support this national observance with
suitable commemorative expressions and programs.

Free As a Bird: All Entrance Fees Are Being Waived at Every National
Park This Veteran's Day Weekend

Inspiration can come in many places. Of late we've been inspired by
the stories of bravery and heroism in the face of grave danger.
Inspiration can also come directly from nature. Dangling your legs
over the edge of the Grand Canyon at sunset, for example. This
upcoming Veteran's Day Weekend is a good time to appreciate anew
the natural wonders in our nation, in addition to remembering all
whom have sacrificed to help make the country what it is today. Sure
you can get in touch with nature any day, but over the weekend of
November 10 to 12, every national parks property will waive its usual
entrance fee.

Our natural gems do not usually need much marketing to attract
visitors, but sometimes people need a little nudge to remind them
what treasures we have. That's why the National Parks Service is
enticing one and all to visit a national park (or two or three) over
Veteran's Day Weekend. Every national park throughout the country
will cancel all entrance fees for the entire weekend, from Saturday,
November 10 to Monday, November 12.  

Yes, that includes all the biggies: Grand Canyon, Yosemite,
Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, Mount Rainier, and all the other
national parks, some of which charge as much as $20 for entrance
usually. The free entrance offer includes all of our national parks, as
well as every national monument and national memorial.  

"This Veteran's Day Weekend, I encourage all Americans to join
together with family and friends to honor the victims of our recent
tragedies along with the veterans who protect our Nation's freedom
and democracy," said Interior Secretary Gale Norton upon the free
entrance announcement. "And I urge everyone to take advantage of
this special opportunity to visit our nation's historic, cultural and
natural treasures to reconnect with the values that have made this
nation great."  

In light of terrorist threats, precautions and increased security
measures are being taken at the national parks, as well as other
national icons like the Sears Tower in Chicago. Several parks that
feature dams, for example, are limiting visitors' access and in some
cases not allowing tours of certain areas. Don't be surprised to find
more rangers on duty than usual at many of the national parks. Other
than that, a visit to any of the national parks properties should be as
normal as possible these days. Parks in the north such as Glacier N.P
in Montana or Grand Teton N.P. in Wyoming will be quite cold over
the weekend. Parks in southern Utah and Arizona such as Zion, Bryce
Canyon, Grand Canyon, and Arches, should be lovely.  

You do not need to contact anyone or do anything to take advantage
of the free entrance deal, but you'll want to arrange for
accommodations if you plan on staying overnight. Camping will be
cold in most spots, including the deserts of the southwest, which are
pleasant during the day but get very cold at night in autumn. Because
fall is an off-season, you may be able to find special rates on lodging
in and outside the parks. The National Park Service Web site,
www.nps.gov, provides links to all of the national parks, and each
individual page features lodging options.

     The joint conference is now in session and is expected to complete its
action next week.  The DoD Comptroller's Office is on record with the
conferees OPPOSING two issues of extreme importance to current retirees of
the uniformed services and future retirees, many of whom are now in, or will
be soon sent into harm's way in America's War on terrorism.

Issue One:  Concurrent receipt of military retired pay and veterans'
disability compensation.

      Background: The House would authorize concurrent receipt contingent
upon the President identifying a funding sources.  The Senate would
authorize concurrent receipt and would fund it.

      DoD's position: It OPPOSES both provisions and urges exclusion of both
provisions from the FY 2002 NDAA.

     Grassroots members who have read the 12 July 2001 letter from DoD Force
Management Policy (AKA the US Navy Captain Kopang letter) to a member of the
grassroots would recognize the essence of DoD's rationale to the conferees.
For those of you who have not read the referenced letter the following is an
extract from it.



        DoD "...opposes any bill that would repeal, in whole or in part, the
current prohibition against concurrent receipt of Military retired pay and
VA disability compensation.  Military retired pay and VA disability
compensation were created for separate populations.  Each program is
intended as full and fair compensation for service to one of two mutually
exclusive groups: (1) those who qualify for retired compensation and (2)
those who do not.  Each of these programs compensates persons who suffer
disabilities in the course of military service.  Each program seeks to raise
the person with a disability to a standard that is on a par with others in
that same category, but who have no disability.  In the first case, the
objective standard is a 30-year career member.  In the second, the standard
is the average income of veterans with no disability.

The 30-year career member receives lifetime retired pay at the maximum rate
of 75 percent of base pay (30 years times 2.5 percent).  Under this
standard, a totally disabled member is paid the same 75 percent maximum rate
for life, providing full lifetime compensation through military retirement.
Persons retired with lesser disabilities receive the same 2.5 percent of
base pay, times years of service, or times their disability percentage, if
higher. The second standard is the average income for veterans with no
disability.  VA disability compensation for veterans with disabilities is
based on the average loss of income relative to this standard, based on the
rated percentage of disability.

Each program compensates persons with service-connected disabilities under a
standard based on a level of income and retirement commensurate with others
in their category with no disability.  Retirees may be paid according to the
most favorable standard, or combination of the two, and thus receive more
after-tax income since VA disability payments are tax-exempt.  Nevertheless,
concurrent receipt of both retired pay and Department of Veterans Affairs
(VA) disability compensation has been prohibited for over 100 years, and no
member has been promised payments of both of these benefits."



Issue two: Military retirees being forced to choose either DoD or VA as
their source of health care.

     Background: An Office of Management and Budget proposal would require
military retirees to choose between DoD and VA for health care.  NAUS, other
associations, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and the House oppose that
forced choice.  The House, in Section 711 of its FY2002 NDAA, would prohibit
DoD from implementing a "forced choice" enrollment plan.  The Senate bill is
silent on this provision.

      DoD's position: It supports the "forced choice" requirement.



Action Needed Before the Joint Conference Adjourns.

     What can be done now to influence ELECTED - meaning answerable to
constituents who have put them into office to represent their interests -
members of Congress on these matters even though regular mail is not an
option, email and fax mail are questionable because congressional Capitol
Hill offices might not be operational because of the anthrax scare?

     Call the local offices of your two Senators and Representative to urge
the Defense Authorization bill conferees to support the Senate's Section 651
of the FY2002 National Defense Authorization Act, which addresses concurrent
receipt of military retired pay and veterans' disability compensation; and
to enact the House Section 711, which would prohibit military retirees being
forced to choose either DoD or VA for their health care.  Get the name of
the person with whom you speak and a commitment that your message will be
forwarded to Washington.   If your Senator/Representative is a conferee it
is particularly important that you call.

     Keep in mind that dealing with local offices of Senators and
Representatives is a show of constituent interest, which has much greater
affect on the elected official than input from sources outside of his or her
state/district.

     For those of you who do not know your congressional delegation's local
telephone numbers, look in the Blue Pages of your telephone book under U.S.
Government, or call your Information Operator

By Claudia Parsons ON BOARD USS PELELIU (Reuters) - The Secretary of the Navy
told marines and sailors in the Arabian Sea on Tuesday to be patient and
prepare for a long fight against so-called terrorism. "The military campaign
is part of a much bigger campaign," Navy Secretary Gordon England told the
crew of the USS Peleliu, one of the warships he visited Tuesday. "This is a
campaign that will be diplomatic, it will be economic, it will be military,
but the military part of it is crucial," England said. "But don't be
impatient. This will go on for a long time. We have to be prepared to stay
the course." The Peleliu is the flagship of the marine expeditionary unit
(MEU) in the Arabian Sea that carries 2,100 marines in three ships along with
all the vehicles, weapons, helicopters and equipment they might need for
amphibious operations. Marines from the Peleliu MEU were sent in to Pakistan
last week to recover a helicopter that crashed during ground missions into
Afghanistan that have accompanied a bombing campaign from the air directed at
Osama bin Laden and the ruling Taliban. On the Peleliu, England ate lunch
with enlisted sailors and marines, inspected weapons systems on board the
ship and presented several sailors with medals. "Morale is very high, they're
all very enthusiastic and they're ready to do whatever the president asks
them to do," England told reporters. He addressed hundreds of marines and
sailors in the hangar bay surrounded by helicopters and harrier jets and
standing in front of a huge American flag draped from floor to ceiling. "It's
not a war against a people, it's not a war against a religion, it's a war
against terror," he said. The Secretary said the marines were ready for
whatever they were tasked to do, though he declined to comment on whether
they would play a more active role on the ground in future. The military
limits itself to saying the Peleliu and the two other ships in the MEU are
training for and supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. "I think everyone
here understands that this is a new kind of threat, a new kind of war,"
England told reporters, referring to the shock of seeing people back home as
casualties instead of soldiers. "The first thing...is to eliminate the
terrorists around the world and those who support terrorism, so the best
defense is what we're doing right here in this part of the world. "I don't
think they realize the might of the United States," he said of the enemy.
"The sleeping giant is awake." England said he had spoken with government
officials in Bahrain, where the navy's 5th fleet is based, Monday before
flying out to visit most of the U.S. ships in the Arabian Sea, including the
aircraft carriers Carl Vinson, Kitty Hawk and Theodore Roosevelt. "I was in
Bahrain yesterday and met with government officials of Bahrain and I'll be in
the United Arab Emirates on the way back," England said. "They are very
important to us and we do sincerely appreciate their friendship and support."
England said the current situation had given the navy a lot to think about in
terms of adapting to new threats. "The first lesson is even in unconventional
war you use conventional forces, so we are deploying conventional forces
today and I don't see that that is going to change." He said Marine Corps
units would still play an important role even in places without a coastline,
like Afghanistan, but he said the military would have to develop new systems
as well. "I think we'll probably end up with another class of ships and we're
doing some studies right now," he said. "That will be very important for the
navy as we go forward."

I wanted to notify you of the upcoming event at the Dept. of Veterans
Affairs Regional Office at 111 W. Huron St. Buffalo NY, Nov 12th 2001.

It is to be a "PROTEST RALLY" at the VA Regional Office by Veterans..
The "Protest Rally" will kick off at "08:00 AM" !!!

The rally is to protest the Dept. of Veterans Affairs unwillingness
to speed up the "Disability Claims Process, also the VA's refusal to
obey the written laws handed down by the Congress of the United
States ...

Also the VA's refusal to admit illnesses like Agent Orange plus other
war related illnesses, and the havoc it has caused to thousands of
Veterans and their Children such as cancer, deformities, digestive
tract problems.

The VA's refusal in recognizing Veterans that served in Combat Zones
as
Combat Veterans as defined by Webster's Dictionary.
For making Veterans wait for years for a "Service Connected
Disibility Ratings" and even making Veterans pay the Dept. of VA for
their treatment of "Earned Entitlements" until such times as their
Rating is awarded. This may take upwards of 5-10 years or longer.

  Many Veterans have "Passed On" long before they receive their
"Entitlements" leaving their Families and Children "Penniless",
desperate and alone. The Dept. of VA's "Double Dipping Policy" of
making the Veterans insurance companies pay for the Veterans
treatment, even though Congress has already paid the Dept. of VA for
the Veterans treatment. All this is successful in doing is to spend
down the "Cap" to Zero, leaving the veterans Families, Wife's and
Children with "NO" health insurance.

Also We Veterans feel the the VA is Re-traumatizing thousands upon
thousands of Veterans with PTSD by their actions and delays causing
even more and more severe health care problems for these Veterans
because of these unnecessary and unwarranted delays.

The unnecessary piling on of obstructive "Non Congressionally
Approved"
rules and regulations. Such as the putting of conditions on Veterans
to prove they saw action in their respective "War Zones" when the VA
already knows the areas of light and no combat and heavy combat areas.
In war zones like Vietnam where almost every Veteran was in harms way
and was either mortared or shot at one time or another during their
year long tour....

We Veterans are sick and tired of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs
adopting a very extreme adversarial role towards those who they are
sworn to help. Especially since the Governments original intent and
Mission of the Dept. of VA was to:

"Care for Those that have Borne the Battle and their Widows and
Orphans"

by assisting Veterans to get their "Entitlements" they had earned and
needed...Now Veterans have to fight and beg for years and years for
"Entitlements" they earned and deserve, while the VA turns
their backs on the very people they are paid to support and to help...

There are several Veterans that will attend this rally that plan to
chain themselves with log chains to the building until the VA settles
their disability claims because they have been waiting for years for
their earned entitlements...and feel the VA has singled them out.
These Veterans feel they have been harassed,and discriminated against
by
the Dept. of Veterans Affairs because they have been so vocal speaking
out against the Dept. of VA's injustices...

We Veterans feel this is the time for "Action" because everyone is
going
to be praising Veterans over this Veterans Day Holiday and now that
we are in another War...
Many Veterans want to let the American people know what our "Young
Troops" that are now being sent to fight in the Middle East have to
look forward to when and if they return home from the Battlefields
with
Wounds and Illnesses'...

We ask all Veterans and Patriots of America to join us at our rally.
The VA HAS TO BE CHANGED NOW... We as Americans do not want
our "Young Troops" to have deal with what the WWII, Korean, Vietnam
and Gulf War Veterans have had to deal with when they return from
the "Battlefields of Freedom"...

On Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001 during his broadcast of Meet the Press Tim Russert let
Gen. Richard Myers get off the air without commenting on his slight to the U.S.
Marine Corps. His comment that he was surprised that a Marine General knew what
eviscerated meant was not only an insult to my brethren, but an off-the-cuff
remark that that deserved exploration. Does the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
really believe that Marines are dumb or perhaps not to be trusted with advanced
weapons? Should we have the USMC around for missions suited for expendable
troops? His feeble attempt to include the USAF was transparent  and did not
change my impression of his underlying attitude. Marines take offense at such
nonsense as this . Of course, it has always reminded me of penis envy.

Found this on a web site this morning at http://www.usflag.org/toc.html .  The
site also has the history of our flag as well as the regs regarding its display
and a whole lot more.  I copied the page for getting an American flag that has
flown over the US Capitol for those who have interest in only that.

Anyone can purchase a U.S. Flag that has flown over the United States Capitol
building in Washington D.C. This can be accomplished in a couple of ways; you
may simply write a letter to your Senator with your request or print and
complete this Capitol Flag Order Form and mail the letter or completed form to
your Senator. Their address can be obtained by calling your local Public Library
and asking for it or use the Senators of the 106th Congress web site to locate
contact information for your Senator.

You may request that your flag be flown on a certain date such as a birthday or
anniversary. Be sure to mail in your request at least 4 weeks prior to the date
you have selected. Your flag will be mailed to you and arrive 3-4 weeks after
the date you have specified. Enclosed with your flag will be a Certificate from
The Architect Of The Capitol certifying that your flag was flown as requested.
If you mention in your letter or on your request form that this flag is for any
specific occasion, that information will be included on the certificate.

The prices are as follows:



   3' x 5' nylon....$7.50
   3' x 5' cotton...$8.25
   5' x 8' nylon...$17.50
   5' x 8' cotton..$18.75



Add $4.05 Certification Fee per flag and $4.00 per flag for shipping and
handling (to USA or foreign countries).



ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS
Be sure to include the following information when making your request:

Number of Flags & Size of each
Name to Appear On Certificate
Date Flag is to be Flown (if applicable)
Name and Address where Flag is to be sent. (Foreign addresses okay.)
Enclose check for exact amount payable to "KEEPER OF THE STATIONERY"
