Welcome to VICTORIAN INTERIOR REVIVAL, now in our Eighth year, a Victorian INTERIOR DECORATION, ARTS, & STYLES group where we look inside the Victorian house to bring back the flavor and style of the "Gilded Age".(1840-1910) Those who live in newer homes but are interested in re-creating an authentic Victorian flavor inside, are invited to join us as well. Victorian Stained Glass, Fireplace Mantels, Staircases, Fretwork, Parquet and Inlaid floors, Tiles, Wallpapers, Lighting, Furniture will be topics of discussions. Reproduction as well as vintage Victorian Interior Decoration accessories and Victorian-style Art will be discussed. For those trying to restore their Victorian period home, here you will find kindred spirits and sympathetic advice on home restoration while you work towards your goal of an authentic Victorian-style interior. New members are encouraged to participate in our friendly group and share stories, tips, and sources which have been helpful in their decorating projects. Expert advice and regular researched articles about the history of Victorian decorative arts will be shared with the group. The group founder,a Victorian-everything enthusiast who owns a Victorian home and has many years experience in the antiques trade and historical research, will be pleased to promptly answer any questions members may have or suggest useful tips and advice. Discussions will range from very informal to academic and the emphasis will be on the Victorian decorative arts and interiors of North America.
