Dear All,

Jai Bharat! Jai Jinendra! Jai Shri Ram/ Pranam

We all are facing this problem everyday but we are holding long silence. We are now getting habitual of this silently coming Big problem, Big Problem because it is deteriorating our culture and values. All these things are making small kids as 'adults' beyong their age and thinking.

You can't stop them(ur kids & younger ones) from watching such vulgur advt./browsing such news websites, because these appear in Prime Time on family dramas and on your favourite news channels. This is an alarming situation, which will ruin our family values in days to come. Why days to come! its happening.
This is our Country! Our Bharat! its not England & US, but these news channels/news websites/TV shows are trying to get cheap popularity by any means. Its really dangeraous. Crime against girls/women are increasing day by day because Indian values are vanishing in family relationships. TV and websites are playing the major role. We must check them now.

Speak up! before its too late.

File complaint to respective authorities, start discussion on FB/twitter.
We can also file a case in Apex Court if get strong support of the society.

List emails in Registrar of Newspapers: dprrni@..., prrni@..., aprhrni@...

Dear Sir/Madam,

This to inform you that obscene content in electronic media is increasing day by day and the authorities which are supposed to check all this nonsense, are ignorant.

NEWS WEBSITES:

If you can browse some newspaper websites/ news channel websites, these are overflowing with adult contents/ nude photos and there is no check on them. Why the ministry or concerned authorities are not taking any action against such newspapers and websites.

If you visit some of the websites, you will feel that you are browsing no less than a porn website. ( hint: Hindi news website of a biggest media house in India) These websites/ adult contents are spoiling the younger generation of India. Is there any law to stop all this non sense.

Further, there is a cut throat race among the news papers to publish adult/sex content in the name of awareness. why you people do not take any action against all this?

VULGAR ADVERTISEMENTS

Advertisements of perfumes/underwears/condomes/chocolates/contraceptive pills are becoming more & more vulgar beyong our imagination and watching them on TV is really horrible with parents or kids. Are we heading towards a society, which will only show/think/talk 'sex'.

VULGARITY IN COMEDY SERIALS

Actors are doing sexual parodies/comedy on prime time TV without any moral responsiblity and fear of law.

All these things are spoiling the society as whole.

I request that the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and other concerned authorities to take stringent action against all this vulgarity grwoing in electronic and print media.

I also request to issue Guidelines to news channels/newspapers/ news websites on the content (which they can publish) as early as possible. I hope for an early and positive response in this regard.

16 lakhs litres of water are needed daily to keep ONE moderate sized slaughterhouse clean. That is drinking water for 30 lakhs people. India has got 40,000+ slaughterhouses. Can water and energy starved country like India really afford to kill cattle anymore?”

It seems that there are two topics that are taboo for our mainstream media – Islamic Terror and Sonia Gandhi. Behind all their claims of being free, fearless, impartial and unbiased our MSM really doesn’t want to talk about these two topics. In a previous post I have attempted to understand why the media is scared of the Religion of Peace. (Why ‘Liberal’ Media Is Scared of The Religion Of Peace!) But surely, the MSMs complete silence on various issues and allegations concerning Sonia Gandhi is even more intriguing. NDTV, CNN-IBN, Times Now, Headlines Today and their Hindi versions seem reluctant to even report items appearing in various other news sources. Amazing! Sonia Gandhi seems untouchable!

                                                                                                                                                               &am p;nb sp;

Chaudhary from Tehelka, and they surely don’t represent the government. It was the usual slugfest with the audience also involved in asking questions. Nothing about the program struck me as being new or specific except when a man wearing a green T-shirt, who introduced himself as ‘IIT Kharagpur and MBA’, started shooting questions. It was all fine until he started raising some questions about Swiss banks or KGB money apparently in relation to Sonia Gandhi. Hmmmm! That’s where Kanwal (HEADLINE TODAY) abruptly cut him off. This got me wondering all over again.

On June 13 when Baba Ramdev broke his fast Subramanian Swamy stated Sonia Gandhi was in Switzerland. Yet, on June 12 when she condemned the murder of journalist J.Dey the media made it appear she was making the statement as usual from Delhi. There wasn’t one mention of where she was making that statement from. That’s not all. Our all-knowing media reported that Jayalalithaa, who was in Delhi on June 14, would not be meeting Sonia Gandhi. Surprising! Given that Sonia Gandhi wasn’t even in Delhi at that time the media reports actually seem to be intended to cover up the fact that Sonia wasn’t even in India.

Journalist Rajinder Puri writes in the The Statesman:

On Monday, Tamil Nadu chief minister Miss Jayalalithaa visited Delhi. She met her Delhi counterpart Mrs Sheila Dikshit. India’s biggest TV channel blared: “Will Jaya also meet Sonia?” Was the channel unprofessionally ignorant or was it colluding with the exercise to hide the furtive movements of Mrs Sonia Gandhi? Earlier on the same day, there was a statement issued by Mrs Gandhi deploring the murder of a prominent journalist in Mumbai. Was all this being done to create the illusion in the public mind that Mrs Gandhi was in India while she was not? This is not the first time that Mrs Gandhi has silently gone abroad in a manner best described as being furtive. Why the secrecy? What is the purpose of Mrs Gandhi’s undisclosed visits abroad?........ Congress leaders are frothing at the mouth demanding total transparency from members of civil society. Probes have been launched against some of them. Should not the government display equal transparency pertaining to India’s most powerful politician who is the chairperson of the ruling UPA coalition as well as the chairperson of the government’s NAC? They need to answer the following questions:

Did Mrs Gandhi travel abroad on an airline or by a private jet? If the latter, whose jet was it? What was the purpose of the foreign visit made by the Chairperson of the NAC and the UPA? What is the itinerary of the NAC Chairperson? Which countries and cities did she, or will she, visit?....” Puri goes on to also raise the issues of allegations by former KGB members having contributed funds to Sonia and family. These are not new allegations.

The allegations of corruptions and black money against Sonia Gandhi are far more serious than the ones being frequently discussed in the media. Subramanian Swamy has made allegations about her name, her birthplace, her educational qualifications, incorrect affidavit filed before the Election Commission, payments to her family by KGB and also about Rahul Gandhi. All this not only makes sorry reading but would make any politician or even an ordinary person jump. The mass media would jump at such stories. Yet our MSM has consistently maintained an eerie silence. Sonia Gandhi, of course, doesn’t talk to the nation or the media about these allegations or any other issue. S.Gurumurthy has written a detailed article in the Indian Express about Sonia Gandhi titled ‘Zero Tolerance, Secret Billions’.

Subramanian Swamy’s extensive speech on the allegations against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi is also available on Youtube. (Just Google it) Are the Barkha Dutts, the Rajdeeps, the Sagarikas, the Rahul Kanwals, the Pankaj Pachauris and many more simply unaware about all these allegations? Is there something more sinister than appears to the whole story?

During October 2007 when Sonia Gandhi visited the UN an organisation released an ad against her listing all the allegations in a newspaper. A defamation case was filed by some supporters of the Congress. The case was dismissed. It is surprising that third parties file cases for defamation of Sonia Gandhi while she herself is unwilling to defend herself or comment on any of these allegations. (Read Congress Sues Subramanian Swamy For Defamation)

In just my previous post (Living next door to Alice) this is what I wrote in response to a flowery article by Barkha Dutt (and I consider it worth repeating):

In management there is a principle that is often accepted as a starting point to analyse failure: “The bottleneck is always at the top”. Yes indeed, figuratively and literally. Extraordinary levels of corruption do not come to pass without the participation of top management. Remember Satyam? Remember Enron? Remember Bear Stearns? Remember AIG? Well, it is no different in the government too. That is where the media has been an absolute failure. Failure apart, their silence has been very much like that of a co-conspirator.…….The top management in the UPA has to be undoubtedly Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh. There are many allegations against her of having stashed away black money in Switzerland. There are allegations of Quattrochi (of Bofors) being let off. Subramanian Swamy has sought sanction to prosecute Sonia Gandhi. Do you find any of this in our mass media?”

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eAG4iiB1oPU/Tft1P3eU_JI/AAAAAAAAANE/gzuzlJe9gXE/s1600/nixoncrook.jpg

In 1973 under pressure in the Watergate scandal, Richard Nixon famously told Editors ‘I am not a crook”! That’s top management for you! Nixon is the only President in US history to have resigned from office. Since then we have also had famous cases like Ferdinand & Imelda Marcos who fled to the US and Alberto Fujimori of Peru who fled to Japan. Seriously, by today’s standards Nixon’s crimes would seem far less significant. Politicians have surpassed him many times over.

There are those in the Congress, the UPA, the media and prominent celebrities in public often put forward the argument that if politicians are corrupt the people get to boot them out every five years. That ‘civil society’ movements of the recent kind destroy democracy. They now cite the DMK party being booted out of power in Tamil Nadu as example. This is the most disgusting and spurious argument one can ever hear on corruption. Being booted out of office is not punishment. Putting them in jails would be the right punishment.

There is no doubt there is a lot of pressure mounting on Sonia Gandhi. Swamy has even sought sanction to prosecute her. The MSM may fail it its job but the people won’t. The tag line to this blog still remains ‘Crooks and liars in the Indian media are the greatest danger to our democracy’!

This is the link from the Swiss Magazine Schweizer Illustrierte >http://www.schweizer-illustrierte.ch/zeitschrift/500-millionen-der-schweiz-imeldas-faule-tricks#
See the picture of Rajiv Gandhi. It lists Rajiv Gandhi as a Swiss Bank account holder with amount to the tune of 2.5 billion dollars. Now you know why Sonia Gandhi is so hard on Baba Ramdev who is keen on getting back Indian money deposited in Swiss Bank. Sonia wants to keep India in the dark and eat the loot.
POSTSCRIPT: The Gandhi family has international thieves for company. That also includes Imelda Marcos who looted Philippines and Idi Amin, the dictator who looted Uganda. After Marcos and Amin, now it is time for Sonia to flee. The public anger is boiling and we won’t be quelled by violence. The below pic is the front page cover of that story.

Rakshabandhan Parva Kii Bahut Bahut Shubhkaamanayen.

Story of Raksha Bandhan
Once in ancient time a King named ‘Shridharma’ was ruling in the city of ‘Ujjain’. He had four Brahmin secretaries named ‘Bali’, ‘Brahaspati’, ‘Namuchi’ and ‘Prahlad’. The King was Jain but all the four secretaries were against Jainism having aversion.
Once great ascetic ‘Acharya Akampana’ with 700 ascetic Munies (Saints) came to Ujjain and stayed in the outer forest of the city. As the King heard about this great occasion he went to visit the Muni Sangha, at first four secretaries tried to prevent the King from the visit of Muni Sangha, but they failed, and they also went to visit the Munies with King Shridharma.
Acharya Akampana were well-known about the nature of King’s secretaries, so he had already ordered to all Munies in his Sangha to keep mum to avoid unwanted situation. The King reached there and prayed, worshipped the Acharya and Munies. But Acharya kept silence. While the King was returning from there, a Muni named ‘Shrut Sagar’ met them coming from the city, the Muni was unknown about the order of the Acharya and about the nature of King’s secretaries. Secretaries started unwanted debate with Muni Shrut Sagar. Muni Shrut Sagar was learned enough so he defeated secretaries in debate.
Thus the all secretaries felt demoralized before King, they returned silent at that time but they decided to take revenge with Muni Sangha. Muni Shrut Sagar also came to Muni Sangha, he told about the event to Acharya. Getting informed about this unwanted debate, Acharya sank in deep thought / worries. In the end Acharya ordered to Muni Shrut Sagar to keep standing at the place of debate whole night and to practice the penance & meditation.
In the night all the four secretaries came to the right place, they were very angry due the defeat in the presence of King. As they saw Muni Shrut Sagar standing there, they tried to kill Muni by sword. But as soon as they lift their hands with sword, the God of Forest sticked their hands in the lifted position. Now they were unable to move any where, they were kept standing in the same position whole the night. In the morning public saw the strange scene, they made insulting comments on the secretaries and prayed Muni Shrut Sagar for his penance and meditation.
As the King heard about this event, he ordered to all four secretaries to leave the city at once after demoralizing them.
The four secretaries left the Ujjain and wandering here and there, they reached Hastinapur. The King of Hastinapur, ‘Shri Padma’ appointed them as his secretaries. Once with the help of four secretaries King Padma defeated his enemy King Singhabala and arrested him.
The King Padma get pleased over the four secretaries, he asked Bali to demand a boon. After some thinking, Bali told, “I am not in need this time, when I will feel the need, I will demand”.
After some time, Acharya Akampana with seven hundred Munies arrived at Hastinapur. He settled his ‘Chaturmas’ there and stayed in the outer of city.
Then Bali after discussing with his three friends / secretaries, went to the King and asked him about the boon kept reserved for future and demanded the rule of city for 7 days. King Padma accepted the demand and went to his palace.
After getting rule of city, Bali started creating so many types of troubles over Muni Sangha. Seeing this whole, Sangha in the headship of Acharya Akampana give up meal and movement. They decided to keep mum till the trouble ends and went in the deep meditation.
At that time the younger brother of King Padma, ‘Shri Vishnu Kumar Muni’ were practicing deep penance. He was accompanied with so many types of super natural powers due to his penance, one of them ‘Vikria Riddhi’ (The power to expand the body as wish). The Guru of Muni Vishnu Kumar was present at that time in Mithila Nagari. Suddenly some words were spoken by Guru, ”today a great crisis has been created over Muni Sangha”. At that time ‘Kshulllaka Pushpadanta’ were sitting there, he asked about the crisis. Guru said that only Muni Vishnu Kumar may solve the problem. Kshullaka Pushpadanta went to the Muni Vishnu Kumar and told them about the trouble over Muni Sangha in Hastinapur and also told that only he was able to remove it. Muni Vishnu Kumar was unknown about the power of ‘Vikria Riddhi’ in him. He tested first and then left for Hastinapur.
First Muni went to his brother King Padma and asked him to do the needful. But King Padma told about the boon awarded by him to Bali. Knowing all about Muni Vishnu Kumar make himself as a ‘Vaman Brahmin’, went near Bali. At that time Bali was preparing for ‘Yagya’ (Yajna). As Bali saw the Vaman Brahmin in Yagya Mandapa, he got pleased and told Brahmin to ask anything at that precious time. Muni Vishnu Kumar in Brahmin’s look first denied for anything, but when Bali requested again and again, he demanded little land equal to his three foot steps. Bali asked Brahmin to demand a lot but Brahmin denied for anything and said that the little land will be enough for his rest of life. Bali agreed for this, as Bali agreed Muni Vishnu Kumar expanded his body up to the sky and placed first step on ‘Sumeru Parvat’ (Hill), second on ‘Manushottar Parvat’ (Hill), there was no space for third step now. Whole the universe got excited and disturbed due to this happening.
Due to fear Bali fell down in the feet of Muni Vishnu Kumar. Devs and Gandharvas prayed and worshipped Muni Vishnu Kumar and ended the crises. All the seven hundred Munies were brought out of the trouble and thus their lives were saved.
Bali and his friends begged pardon for their offence. All the present persons worshiped Acharya Akampana and his Muni Sangha.
After this Muni Vishnu Kumar returned to his Guru, accepted expiation. After practicing deep penance and meditation, ultimately he got freedom from world and attained salvation.
In the memory of this event, saving of seven hundred Munies from dangerous trouble, the festival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is celebrated on day of ‘Shravan Shukla Purnima’ (the night of full moon in month of Shravan / Savan).

Shameful:
Business of killing of animals
Teerthankar Mahaveer’s followers are involved
Mumbai:
I had learnt in my childhood that ‘Jain’ is the only community in the world which is strict vegetarian community and they follow the basic principle of Jainism ‘Ahimsa’ in their personnel and business lives.
I was born in a non-vegetarian Marathi family but thanks to my Jain friends who have transformed me into a pure vegetarian. I have been learning so many good things from these friends, which I would missed if I were not friends like them. The philosophy of Ahimsa in Jainism is superb and unmatchable, they think even for the tiny insects like ants etc and even more the micro organism.
During my visit to Madhya Pradesh, I came across to meet a sky-clad monk ‘Digambar muni’,  it was to me that they carry a whisk made of naturally fallen peacock features to save the insects and micro-organisms suffered due their routine movements.
But the time is changing very fast so the Jain Community, youths have started eating anything without bothering for their ancient custom of Ahimsa. The more painful thing is current business activities of Jains. I am highly disappointed that Teerthankar Mahaveer’s some followers have started many such businesses/professions which directly or indirectly involve or promote killing of millions of innocent animals.
I feel it appropriate to mention few such businesses:
1.       Hotels serving non-veg food and liquor
2.       Hotel Management Institute or Hotel Management Courses
3.       Stock brokers who recommend/invest in shares of Companies carrying meat export, running of slaughter houses, running of veg-nonveg food chains and the  like
4.       CA/CS/lawyers/bankers/Engineers etc working for companies which are involved in animal killing and meat export
5.       Supplier of raw material/machines/services to slaughter houses
6.       Selling of leather goods, eggs and silk
Those who are involved in these activities must introspect themselves and think what they are doing before it’s too late. Nobody in this world can forego the consequences of his Karmas as per the Karma Doctrine.
Today you may earn tonnes of money in such business but karmas will not spare you. Once, previously earned good karmas are over, the situation will worsen. In this world, those who are sensible persons are approaching towards the very principle of Ahimsa and Vegetarianism. In countries like USA, UK and Canada the number of vegetarians are growing rapidly due to environment, health and concern for animal suffering. Interestingly they are also promoting ‘Cruelty Free Investments’ and ‘Cruelty free Businesses/Professions’.
I have a strong belief that the ‘Jain Community’ of India can lead its way in the field of ‘Cruelty Free Investments’ and ‘Cruelty free Businesses/Professions’. The Prominent Jain Organizations/ Jain Monks should come forward to promote ‘Cruelty Free Investments’ and ‘Cruelty free Businesses/Professions’ and practices and businesses/ professions which involve killing/suffering of innocent animals directly or indirectly must be discouraged.

Dear Sir,

Jai Jinendra. Thanks for replying.

I would request you to consult and discuss with some Prominent Jain Acharyas like Acharya Shri Vidyasagarji Maharaj, Muni Sudhasagarji, Acharya Mahashramanji, Acharya Harshvardhan sureeshwar, etc.

I can understand that if the bollywood actors are not the part of this film, it will not appeal to the public in general except Jains but then these actors do not fit even in general conducts of Jain householders. They eat non-veg, drink wine-beer etc and use leather goods. They have ill affairs with opposite sex actors. You must be aware of all such things.

I strongly believe that a world class animation film will be great idea instead.

You must search actors with clean character not having drinking/eating habbits, having human approach towards life. complete cast and crue must fit in these basic then only a feature film can be made on Vardhman Mahaveer, which I believe would be a tedious and difficult job if not impossible. Importantly this film if made must not divide Mahaveer in sectorian culture of Digambar/ Shwetambar. This needs a broader vision and approach.

Michchaami Dukkadam! Uttam Kshama!

Jai Jinendra,

The idea of making film on Mahaveer Bhagwan may be noble but the cast and crue is undoubltely can not play role of Teerthankar, Instead you should make a world class animation film like big animation' little Krishna. Everybody will supoort you. Actors can not play role of Vardhmaan Mahavir.

http://jainology. blogspot. com/2011/ 08/film-on- vardhman- mahaveer- appeal-from. html

I am happy to announce that, I have a fortune of making, the worlds first feature film on Vardhaman Mahaveer. The aim is not to make profit but to make , the great personality of Vardhaman Mahaveer known to the entire world, Jain & Non Jains alike. I have done research on life of Mahaveer for 2 years and therefore exhibiting many facets of his life and personality , which were unknown to Jains. I have also written 200 pages book on his life and teachings, "Vardhaman Mahaveer" which will be published in Sept 2011. I am projecting him as a Mahamanav to all of us.

Many of us do not remember clearly that Mahaveer was:

1. Pioneer of movement for down trodden , the movement was further magnified by Gautam Buddha

2. Pioneer to give women (equal to men) right of moksha, education, and religion, and authority in religion.

3. Pioneer of Aparigraha (no greed no hoarding) principle

4. Pioneer of Anekantwad (Truth has many facets and looks different from different angles)

5. He was pioneer to abolish the caste and creed system , etc

7. Pioneer to preach principle of Ahimsa in depth . He taught the world including Vedic Brahmins "the vegetarianism & environment"

8. Pioneer to give importance to mans action (Purusharthwad)

9. Pioneer in India to abolish caste creed & Chatur-Varnya system etc

10. Pioneer to create a higher chair for making a woman who was down trodden a religious head of women

He had far bigger social problems to address in that era than advising on onions and potatoes.
If you are interested in knowing more like his exact teaching, preaching , exact travel route , dialogue with other religious heads of Vedic religion, Ajeevaka , & Buddha religion , you may please write to me. I am looking for wide participation of all Jain and non jain people in making this movie. Cast will be finalized in 2 to 4 weeks. Shooting will start in Sept 2011.

Please let me know, which area you would love to participate. I request all Jain organizations and saints to propagate this message so that I get really a wider participation.

Note: Looking for 15 main actors actresses & other professionals for movie making
Thanking you

Jai Jinendra Bahan Kshamaji,

We all Jains must restrospect ourselves that non-Jains are asking us to follow the very principle of Ahimsa/Shakahar. What is happening to all of us. We youths are not coming forward. It is of great concern for Jainism in 21st Century.

A look at the salient features of Jan Lokpal Bill:

1. An institution called LOKPAL at the centre and LOKAYUKTA in each state will be set up

2. Like Supreme Court and Election Commission, they will be completely independent of the governments. No minister or bureaucrat will be able to influence their investigations.

3. Cases against corrupt people will not linger on for years anymore: Investigations in any case will have to be completed in one year. Trial should be completed in next one year so that the corrupt politician, officer or judge is sent to jail within two years.

4. The loss that a corrupt person caused to the government will be recovered at the time of conviction.

5. How will it help a common citizen: If any work of any citizen is not done in prescribed time in any government office, Lokpal will impose financial penalty on guilty officers, which will be given as compensation to the complainant.

6. So, you could approach Lokpal if your ration card or passport or voter card is not being made or if police is not registering your case or any other work is not being done in prescribed time. Lokpal will have to get it done in a month's time. You could also report any case of corruption to Lokpal like ration being siphoned off, poor quality roads been constructed or panchayat funds being siphoned off. Lokpal will have to complete its investigations in a year, trial will be over in next one year and the guilty will go to jail within two years.

7. But won't the government appoint corrupt and weak people as Lokpal members? That won't be possible because its members will be selected by judges, citizens and constitutional authorities and not by politicians, through a completely transparent and participatory process.

8. What if some officer in Lokpal becomes corrupt? The entire functioning of Lokpal/ Lokayukta will be completely transparent. Any complaint against any officer of Lokpal shall be investigated and the officer dismissed within two months.

9. What will happen to existing anti-corruption agencies? CVC, departmental vigilance and anti-corruption branch of CBI will be merged into Lokpal. Lokpal will have complete powers and machinery to independently investigate and prosecute any officer, judge or politician.

10. It will be the duty of the Lokpal to provide protection to those who are being victimized for raising their voice against corruption.

Mata Trishala - Mother of the 24th Jain Tirthankar shri Mahavir Swami had seen
various dreams - swapnas before birth of the Lord Mahavir swami.

This Paryushan Maha Parva will bring lots of peace and Ahimsha in to each
individual's life, which was the motto of Shri Mahavir Swami.

This app would give you deep feeling of doing all poojas via darshanam of all
Supan-Swapnas.

Trishala was a member of the same caste as the mother of the Buddha. Like her
son Mahavira, she was born into royalty. She and her husband, King Siddharth of
Kundgraam were followers of Parshvanath, the 23rd Jain Tirthankar. According to
Jain granthas, Trishala carried her son for nine months and seven and a half
days during the sixth century BC. However, Shvetambars generally believe that he
was conceived by Devananda, the wife of a Brahmin and was transferred to
Trishala's womb by Indra because all Tirthankars had to be Kshatriyas.

According to the Jain scriptures, Trishala had fourteen dreams after the
conception of her son.

In the Digambara sect of the Jaina religion, there were 16 dreams. After having
these dreams she woke her husband King Siddharth and told him about the dreams.

The next day Siddharth summoned the scholars of the court and asked them to
explain the meaning of the dreams. According to the scholars, these dreams meant
that the child would be born very strong, courageous, and full of virtue.

Enjoy the Darshanams with deep Jainisam feeling in the soul. May God Bless us
all.

THIRUMALAI - TIRUPATI - BALAJI- LORD VENKATESHWARA IS A JAIN TEMPLE OF DRAVID CIVILIZATION. ( A fact supported by Historians, Archaelogist and researchers worldwide)

WORLD'S RICHEST TEMPLE - This is originally a Jain temple converted by Ramanujam/Sankaracharya around 8th century A.D onwards along with 1000s other dravid temples.

ORIGIN OF TEMPLE: THIRTHANKAR NEMINATH
TEMPLE BUILT BY:
DRAVIDIAN CIVILIZATION

Let us ask those brahmins to perform all pooja, abhisekham openly, not to hide with curtains or by closing doors. There is absolutely no need to keep God in private if this is real .
Let us request our government to atleast make the truth available to every devotee, not living under the myths and stories. Indian courts have already declared few decades ago, this being truly jain temple. Unfortunately today people think jains are only who are from part of Rajasthan, Gujraj or some pockets of North India who are basically trading community. But truth is that real Jains are only who were dravidians. Present Jains in Rajasthan, gujrat are only few who converted from Aryan brahmin religion. Original Jains from ages are dravids (original inhabitants of bharat)who are living in Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala , bihar into farming, labour jobs and are very poor, whose heritage was looted, converted which is as old as 4th century b.c. - can be found abandoned or converted all over. jainism existed much before lord Mahavira. North American based historians have traced Jain history upto 8000 years old with enough evidences and proof.
Let us all pray to Lord venkateshwara ( Lord Neminath) to protect our devotees and believers, and let everyone know its true identity and real name, no matter Aryan Jains, dravid jains, or saivist or vaishnavaites control this temple. It is common for all the devotees. Worshiping any god without knowing real identity can only add to our ignorance.

PL FWD THIS TRUTH TO EVERY INDIAN.

Three antique Jain idols unearthed from building site

Ahmedabad: A common construction site in Shantinagar society in Usmanpura drew many curious visitors on Wednesday morning with the sudden appearance of three eight-feet-tall Jain idols (Pics below) .Religious heads and residents from nearby thronged the site to perform poojas and later chalked out a plan to install them in a community hall nearby.

Around 10.30 on Wednesday morning,a JCB machine operator, while excavating the place, felt a huge stone underneath. On digging, head of a Jain deitys idol emerged. The labourers dug out the land further and brought out the idol carefully. The residents of adjoining apartments, who saw the idol, rushed to the site and started digging the place nearby and found two more idols, said resident Pankaj Shah.

Jain priests Harihant Sagarji and Muni Padmajit Sagarji who were present at the spot claimed that the idols may be four hundred years old and its makers had hidden the statues during an attack by the Mughal army. The priests also claimed that the idols were made by artisans from Khambat and were being transported into the city.

However, the state archeology department had a completely different version to tell.Scientists claimed that the three idols were incomplete and looked similar. The chisel work suggested that it could not be more than 100 years old.Idols of this size were normally constructed near a temple site. The idols seem incomplete as the artisans have not carved the vehicles of the tirthankars and specific signs on the idols body that can help devotees identify the revered gods. The artisans may have left the idols for some reason which is not known yet, says director of state archeology department Y S Rawat.

The idols were found disfigured. They share striking similarity to Khambati style. This style of idol is present at a Jain temple at Shambhavnath Ni Khadki in Zaveri Bazaar. While one of the murti is of Lord Adheswar, the other two are yet to be identified. The idols are 88 inches tall,67 inches broad and 29 inches thick.
Ketan Shah of Shantinagar Shwetambar Murtipujak Jain Sangh said: After getting permission from ASI,we will put these murtis for darshan. So far,10,000 people, including monks, have visited the sangh where the idols are kept.

But Muni Padmajit claimed,Similar Jain idols are present in Sambhav Nath ni Khadki in Zaveriwad area in the walled city which are smaller in size compared to the ones found at this site.We believe that the idols were being brought for a new Jain temple and that they were hidden fearing attacks.

Virendra Shah who owned a bungalow at the site for many years had sold the property to Anil Patel,a builder, for a residential apartment scheme at the site.It was during the digging to lay the foundation at the site that the idols were revealed. The foundation of the bungalow was just one metre deep, while the idols were found four metres deep. There was no way that Shah could have known about the presence of the idols, said a resident.

04th November 2011

To,
Hon' ble Minister of Railways, Government of India
Hon’ble Members of Railway Board, Government of India
Directors of IRCTC
Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India

Respected Sir,

Subject: Constitutional Right to practice religion & follow vegetarianism

[To follow one’s religion like as it is practiced in Middle East and Gulf Countries: followers of other Religion cannot eat food in the daytime of RAMZAN MONTH in front of a person keeping ROZA]

Respected Madam/Sir,

Our request to Railways / Civil Aviation Ministry to segregate coaches/ seats as per the eating preference of Vegetarians and Non-Vegetarians through Computerized Ticket Booking System in online and/or offline mode.

It is very difficult for vegetarians to even sit in front of a person who is having Non-Veg food and at the same time it hurts their religious sentiments. Every Indian has constitutional right to practice his faith/religion and allowing non-vegetarians to eat non-veg food in front of vegetarians is a serious infringement of vegetarian’s religious rights, which has never been given due attention by the authorities. Vegetarians are compelled to buy their veg food from catering/kitchen/canteen which is also preparing non-veg food by using same utensils, spices and water. Everybody is aware that caterers never bother in interchanging utensils while cooking veg and non-veg items.

In fact, if a Vegetarian is buying food from railway/airline’s canteen, he is unknowingly eating non-veg items as well and no one can deny this fact after having a personal look at these canteens.

We humbly request you to segregate the food cooking system and create separate kitchens in pantry for vegetarians with immediate effect and inform us about your stand on this issue.

We also request to the RAILWAYS that All VEGETARIANS irrespective of their Caste, Religion or Creed must be allotted in seats in separate coaches / rows / compartments, so that they can maintain their religious sentiments while having their vegetarian meals.

Request to consider in the interest of Human Rights of Vegetarians.

Regards
Ahimsa Sangh, Mumbai

SHATAVDHAN (Memorising 100 activities) – A glimpse at the Super Power of the Soul

How often have been embarrassed because you could not remember names of people you met at a party or a business meeting?  Have you had difficulty recalling birthdates of your children? What would you give to have a better memory? While most people can remember 8 or 10 events sequentially, ancient Jain literature is replete with references to Jain scholars and sadhu bhagvants called SHATAVDHANIS demonstrating their ability to remember 100 things or more - a talent acquired by deep meditation or power of pure soul. Such achievements were demonstrated among other historical figures by Shrimad Rajchandra Ji in 1887 and by Shri Dhirajlal Tokershi Shah in 1957.

What Does Shatavdhan Mean?
SHATAVDHAN (shat-100 + avdhan) is a power to cover 100 different activities in a single act of attention.

Details of Main performance:

Event : Dwi ShatAvadhan ( 200 Memory Event)

Muni Shri Ajitchandra Sagar Ji (Munishri) took diksha at the age of 12 under Anuyogcharya Naychandrasagarji. Today at the age of 22 Munishri has been observing silence (MAUN) for the last six and half years– speaking only to his Guru Ji in his quest for intense meditation and swadhyay – study of Agams and memorizing thousands and thousands of  gathas (stanzas).  During those years of silence, he has demonstrated his ability to observe and retain 100 facts such as list of proverbs, rivers, mountains, religious festivals, nations, sentence in any world language etc or glimpse of photographs of monuments or famous people or mathematical problems – all randomly selected by the members of the audience. To the amazement of all present, Munishri would than recite all hundred items sequentially, in reverse and also in random order.

Munishri reportedly also holds his name in Guinness Book of World Records, thereby becoming 1st Jain Muni in Guinness Book.

Account by Shri. Dilip Shah, JAINA, “I was one of the four hundred extremely fortunate Mumbai residents gathered early morning on Saturday, February 4, 2012 to witness a rehearsal program of MAHA SHATAVDHAN -200 Avdhans – by the Munishri. In addition to all the items mentioned above, the Munishri also demonstrated SAMYUKTA AVDHAN (Multi tasking). In this exercise, a member of the audience named a large number divisible by 9 - 963. Munishri were to fill in all 81 spaces in a table of 9 rows and 9 columns in such a manner that each of the rows or columns would add up to the chosen number (963). The mental contemplation without the aid of any physical aid - paper or pencil was to take place while a loud bell was ringing at regular interval, three members of the audience standing near him to throw cowry shells to hit his body at time of their choosing, opening his eyes momentarily to view four objects on the table – all this in 30 seconds while loud music was being played to try to distract him. It took 2 and half hours for all of the 200 questions being set and now it was Munishri’s turn. Calmly and methodically he recited the questions and their answers in a serial order from 1 to 200 and than from 200 to 1. He than invited members to ask what the question was of a given number say 85 and so on. Lastly he gave the serial number of questions when answers were presented to him. He filled out the 9 x 9 table for member of the audience to verify that all the rows and columns added up to 963, he told how many times the bell rang and at which ringings the cowry shell  had touched his body and the four objects he had observed during the exercise. At the end of the event, Guru Maharaj spoke about what we had just witnessed. He emphasized what we had seen was not an exercise in memory power but the achievement of the soul. By preserving his energy in observing prolonged silence, by deep study of AGAMS and prolonged meditation on it opened up his soul to synchronize with the deepest mysteries of the same.   Taping into vast potential of the soul, Munishri became a self taught Shatavdhani. We were also told that Munishri would remember all the items for the next 6 months. It was also important to note that he experienced no stress due to the entire exercise, no special preparation time on the day of the demonstration and would resume his daily rituals of study etc right after the demonstration.”

The rehearsal program was organized by The Sarswati Sadhna Mahasangh.

Note to readers: Please study Sattva, Raja and Tama, the three subtle components of the universe to fully understand this article.

1. An introduction to a spiritual perspective on vegetarian versus non-vegetarian diet

There is a wide debate as to whether it is better to be a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian. People in either camp have pretty much dug their heels in swearing by the benefits of being a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian respectively. There is, however, a worldwide trend of more and more people crossing over and becoming vegetarians. In this article we explore the issue from a spiritual perspective.

2. Spiritual purity of food

In our article on Sattva, Raja and Tama, the three subtle components of the universe, we explained how everything in the universe at a subtle level is made up of these three subtle components.
Sattva Raja Tama Definitions
Food is no exception and at a subtle level, it too is made up of the Sattva, Raja and Tama subtle components. The proportions of these subtle components vary depending on the type of food. Sattva stands for purity and knowledge while tama denotes ignorance and inertia. Anything that has a higher Sattva component assists our spiritual journey and anything that is Tama predominant has a tendency to diminish or obstruct our spiritual practice.
Through spiritual research we obtained the subtle component readings for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Vegetarian versus non-vegetarian
Please note: These readings are an average across each food category. Fish is included in non-vegetarian food and has marginally less Tamacomponent than white and red meat. The food within a category differs marginally from each other. For example mutton and chicken in the non-vegetarian category differ marginally from each other in terms of their SattvaRaja and Tama components.
The reason for the increased Tama in meat after the animal dies is because of the extent of suffering when it is being killed. Also the thoughts of anger and revenge in the animal are far more pronounced as compared to a plant which has a rudimentary mind and intellect. This is the main reason for the increased Tama component.
As you can see from the above table a vegetarian diet would have a higher proportion of the subtle Sattva component. As a result of the Tamapredominance in meat, the act of eating non-vegetarian food is a taamasik activity.

2.1 Subtle picture of meat

The picture below shows what a seemingly healthy piece of meat looks like when seen through sixth sense vision. The picture has been drawn by
Mrs.Yoya Vallee (Paris, France).

2.2 Subtle picture of a banana

The picture below shows what a saattvik fruit like a banana looks like when seen through sixth sense vision. The picture has been drawn by
Mrs. Yoya Vallee (Paris, France).

Due to the higher sattvikta in fruit, it is offered to God in ritualistic worship.

2.3 Effect on meat from the treatment of animals in farm factories

2.3.1 Treatment of animals prior to slaughter

In factory farms around the world, animals are very often treated as commodities just to be exploited for profit. In animal agriculture, this attitude has led to institutionalised animal cruelty, massive environmental destruction and resource depletion, and animal and human health risks. The following is a video from Farm Sanctuary which shows abuse of animals.
From a spiritual perspective it is a sin to ill-treat and slaughter animals. Refer to section 3.3.

2.3.2 Does the method of slaughter have any spiritual impact on the meat?

Stunning cattle before slaughterSome customs and religions in the world require that an animal be slaughtered in a particular way else it is not permitted to be eaten by that community. In slaughter houses it is common practice to stun animals with an electric shock or by use of a captive bolt pistol. This renders the animal unconscious prior to the body being hauled down a processing line where the carotid artery and jugular vein are severed with a knife. This action causes the blood to drain out and the animal dies through exsanguination.
In some communities however one of the requirements while slaughtering animals is that the arterial vein be cut without stunning the animal so that the animal bleeds to death. Only then is the meat permitted to be eaten. This bleeding to death can last for upto two minutes. Animal rights groups protest against this method as they say it is cruel and the animal feels a lot of pain. Spokespeople for these communities argue otherwise saying that there is no difference in the level of pain. They maintain that cutting the main arterial vein results in a sudden and quick hemorrhage. Due to a quick loss of blood pressure the brain is instantaneously starved of blood and there is no time to start feeling any pain. (Ref: BBC.com 2003)
When we did spiritual research into this issue we found that:
  • When an animal dies it feels as much pain as humans do when killed. There may however be a difference in the comprehension of that pain depending on the evolvement of the mind and intellect of the animal. An animal’s life is mostly limited to food and sex, however a human being has many more aspects in life to which they have attachment, and hence human pain is much more.
  • When slaughtered in the way that is required for the above-mentioned communities, the suffering of the animal has a significant increase. On a scale of 1 to 100, if 100 units is the pain experienced by an animal when it is killed slowly by cutting off parts of its' body, then,
    • 30 units is the pain experienced by the animal when slaughtered by the normal method in slaughter houses.
    • 50 units of pain is felt by animals slaughtered in accordance with the customs of the above-mentioned communities.
  • As a result of the increase in pain, the subtle Tama component goes up in the meat. This is also partly caused by the animal having increased thoughts of anger towards the people killing it in a manner that is required by these communities.
The paradox is that while these communities slaughter animals in this method so that it is permissible as per their faiths, the spiritual impurity of the meat infact goes up and they ingest higher Tama predominant meat. The following subtle readings obtained through spiritual research indicate the same.
Change in Subtle components of meat depending on the method of slaughter
From the above readings we can see the increase in the tama component with a concomitant decrease in the Sattva component.

2.4 Don’t plants also experience pain when killed?

Yes, plants too experience pain when killed or when parts of it are severed. The comprehension of pain however is less than for animals. This is because the mind and intellect of a plant is rudimentary as compared to that of an animal. However, if a fruit or vegetable is plucked when it is fully ripe or has fallen from a tree, there is relatively no pain to the plant.

2.5 Method of cooking meat

When grilling meat there are 3 generic ways of cooking it, i.e. rare, medium or well done. Rare is close to raw meat. It has a reddish centre and is cooked on the outside. On the other end is meat that is ‘well done’ that is charred on the outside, thoroughly brown and chewy on the inside.
People who like their steaks rare are more likely to be taken advantage of or possessed by ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.). This is because meat that is raw is the meat of preference by the demon type of negative energies. Steaks that are well done have less of the Tamasubtle component in it as compared to steaks that are cooked ‘rare’ to ‘medium’.

2.6 How long does the effect of the increased tama component last?

When Tama predominant food is ingested on a regular basis the body is burdened with an excess of the Tama component. A rise in Tamacomponent in a person has many negative side effects. This Tama component can only disintegrate if one is doing spiritual practice that is aligned to the six basic principles of spiritual practice. However, since most people do not do spiritual practice, this Tama component accumulates in a person’s body, mind and intellect.
Spiritual effect of a non-vegetarian diet
If a person of an average spiritual level were to give up meat eating and become a vegetarian, it would take him approximately 30 years to overcome the effects of the higher subtle Tama component due to ingesting a Tama predominant non-vegetarian diet.
Even if a person is doing spiritual practice that is aligned with the six basic principles of spiritual practice, it would on average take him 5 years to overcome the ill-effects created by ingesting a Tama-predominant diet. This is if he gave up a non-vegetarian diet immediately and did spiritual practice (as per the six basic principles) of 4-5 hours a day. If he were to gradually give up a non-vegetarian diet it would take him 10 years to overcome the ill-effects of ingesting the higher Tama-predominant meat diet.

2.7 Are canine teeth in humans not meant for consumption of meat?

Purpose of Canine teeth

The function of canine teeth for human beings is to tear food. Proponents of a non-vegetarian diet maintain that God has given us canine teeth for a meat-based diet. This is no argument. It is like saying just that because we have nails we should scratch others as animals do. Just because humans have canines it doesn’t mean that they should eat meat.
From a spiritual perspective the purpose of a human birth is to attain God Realisation. The key difference between human beings and animals is that only human beings have developed minds and intellects that can be channeled towards saattvik activities to propel themselves towards God-realisation. Accordingly, it is spiritually recommended that people do not copy what carnivorous animals do and eat.

2.8 A spiritual perspective on eating garlic and onions

Onion and garlicSome communities refrain from having onions and garlic. What is the spiritual perspective on this? Onions and garlic have a higher proportion of the subtle Rajacomponent. It is for this reason, as per the science of Ayurveda, that a diet with garlic and onions is recommended to improve a person’s appetite. The increased Raja component from eating onion and garlic in moderation is very quickly overcome by the increase inSattva component of a person doing medium (4-5 hours) to intense spiritual practice (10-12 hours).

2.9 A spiritual perspective on milk, curd and cheese

  • Cow’s milk, when consumed, helps to increase a person's Sattva component. Out of all types of milk, the milk from a cow is the mostsaattvik.
  • Curd and butter milk are less saattvik than milk
  • When other items are prepared from milk (especially through the process of spoiling milk such as in the making of cottage cheese) it starts reducing the Sattva component and increasing the subtle Tama component.

3. Effects of diet on man

3.1 At a physical level

By eating a non-vegetarian diet, since there is an increase in Tama component, it is more likely to cause various diseases.

3.2 At a psychological level

The increase in the Tama component from a non-vegetarian diet leads to an increase in thoughts relating to various desires and other taamasikthoughts such as sexual thoughts, greed, anger, etc.

3.3 At a spiritual level

  • The higher proportion of Sattva component in a vegetarian diet is conducive for spiritual practice.
Effect of diet on spiritual growth
Example: Matthew is at the 30% spiritual level. He begins to do 4-5 hours of spiritual practice on a daily basis as per the 6 basic principles. All factors being equal, if he were to choose to be vegetarian, he would reach the spiritual level of 40% 20 years faster than if he consumed a non-vegetarian diet.
For God Realisation, we need to transcend the 3 subtle components. Therefore through spiritual practice we have to go beyond our likes and dislikes, as they are made up of the 3 subtle components. This happens for all practical purposes beyond the 90% spiritual level. After this level what one ingests makes no difference to the proportion of the 3 subtle components in us.
  • By having a higher Tama predominant non-vegetarian diet, a person is more prone to attacks by ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.). All things being equal, a person who eats meat is 20% more likely to be possessed by ghosts than a vegetarian. The reason is that meat is a food group that is liked by demonic forces. Seekers who, as their spiritual practice, serve to spread Spirituality in society, are even more prone to being affected when ingesting non-vegetarian food. This is because higher-level ghosts take advantage of the increase in theTama subtle component to trouble them.
  • Do we incur a sin by eating non-vegetarian food?
The answer is yes, we incur a sin when we kill anything be it animals or plants. Also, we inadvertently become party to the sin of any ill-treatment of animals in factory farms and slaughterhouses by eating their meat. People who eat the meat become party to that sin, albeit not as much as the person doing the ill-treating and the killing. People who work in factory farms incur 70% of the sin while the people who eat the meat incur 30% of the sin. In many cases people who work in slaughterhouses are possessed by ghosts and this is one of the reasons for their callous attitude towards animals. The workers get possessed by ghosts because their jobs are in alignment with the preferences ofghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.).
The sin in killing plants is much less than in killing animals, as the plants' comprehension of pain is far less due to their rudimentary mind and intellect.
However, if we are doing medium to intense spiritual practice (as per the six basic principles of spiritual practice) we nullify this sin by our daily spiritual practice. Since almost all people do not do spiritual practice in the true sense of the word, these sins do not get nullified. The sin incurred in killing plants and animals is however much less than killing human beings. The reason is that humans have the potential to realise God, and by killing them we take away that opportunity. Among all animals the cow is the most sattvik and the sin incurred when killing animals is maximum when killing a cow.
  • When a person grows to the spiritual level of 60%, whether his diet is non-vegetarian or vegetarian makes much less of a difference. This is because, from a spiritual growth perspective, the value of his ability to chant with spiritual emotion far outweighs what his diet is. As per spiritual science, when we compare the two factors on a relative scale, for a person at the 60% spiritual level:
    • The subtle Sattva component of a person eating vegetarian food increases by 0.0001 %.
    • However, if one chants with spiritual emotion then the subtle Sattva component increases by 5%.
However what happens is that as a person’s spiritual level grows they become more Sattva predominant. Concurrently they are more sensitive and averse to the tama component in non-vegetarian food. As a result, people at higher spiritual levels are generally vegetarian as they feel distress when eating non-vegetarian food.

4. Some do’s and don’ts with regard to non-vegetarian food

  • If one is unable to give up meat it is recommended that at least during the following times one must abstain from it. The various times are sunrise, sunset, during an eclipse, at night, two days before and after and during full moon and new moon days. At all these times ghosts are more active and can take advantage of the heightened Raja-Tama in the environment. (We have included sunrise even though it is considered a saattvik time as there is still some influence of the darkness which is Tama predominant.)
  • If one is serious about one’s spiritual practice, it is recommended that one only have a vegetarian diet.

For many of us 23 March may be just another day in the calendar year when we get on with our daily routines. However, it is a day where we need to remember the greatest of sacrifices made by three young men in India’s quest for Independence and Freedom from British rule.
On March 23, 1931, Bhagat Singh was hanged in Lahore with his fellow comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev. Since then 23 march is known as Shaheed Diwas.
Bhagat Singh was a revolutionary and was a constant source of trouble for British in India. But the two major events that were the reasons for his execution were the Bombing of the Assembly and the Saunders murder.
Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were charged with the murder and the assembly bombing case. Bhagat Singh decided to use the court as a tool to publicize his cause for the independence of India. He admitted to the murder and made statements against the British rule during the trial. While in jail, Bhagat Singh and other prisoners launched a hunger strike advocating for the rights of prisoners and those facing trial.
All three were finally hanged on 23 March 1931 amidst thunderous shouts of Inquilab Zindabad from other inmates inside the jail. “Long Live Revolution”
