I find it strange that everyone keeps disappearing, and then
reappearing at strange times, almost convenient times. Soon after an
issue would be solved, or something important would happen people
just disappear and reappear not remembering what happened to him. I
find this very strange, but stranger yet is the fact that this has
yet to happen to me.
In my last entry I talked about the clever old man we had come
across. He had shared much information with us, but he died due to a
sinkhole caused by the saturated earth. Right after we found him
impaled upon a tree branch, Tokk Thud and Jeremiah appeared again
covered in mud. Once again they didn't remember where they had gone,
just that they fell asleep at the inn, and woke up in the mud. I
then noticed the Kerival had disappeared, and think I will use him as
a chance to test this "disappearing" thing again. I will have quite
a few questions for him when he reappears.
At any rate Wang and myself removed the old man's body from his
current state, and noticed that he weighs a lot more than would have
been expected. We took him to the edge of a cave and I attempted to
bury him after Thock Thud had removed the metallic shoulder joint of
the man. Wang preformed a burial technique he had learned, causing
most of the body to sink into the mud; I then preformed the final
rite prayer. We moved on into the cave as a group and discovered an
odd chamber with an hourglass on the wall in a strange alter towards
the center. In the room there was a body of a fallen person, from
what I could gather from his remains and equipment he was a priest.
I took his holy symbol so that Kerival could take a look at it when
he got back.
I found a hidden door, which exploded with a mudflow, knocking
the wind out of me. With that passage I have uncovered filled with
mud we moved on to a different cave not to far away. There we found
a cave in, which after we got around it we were attacked by a rather
large creature. Looked to be a very large human, and with it final
breathe took me down with it.
When I awoke I was tied up, and Silver Claw was accusing me of
wanting to destroy the group again. This time he made the outrageous
claim that I was talking to my "Master" in my sleep about leading
them into the forest and killing them. By "Master" I assume he means
that horrible swamp creature that killed my best friend Ramza. I
passed out from anger in my hurt condition, with not even enough
strength to argue with them.
When I awoke next I was untied, but was still lacking my
weapons. I told them I had no intention of killing them, and Silver
Claw once again tried to claim that I was evil. I show them that I
still had the power to heal, thus proving that Wee Jas was still
supporting me. However her power came a little later than usual,
this worries me, but I will worry about that later. They gave me a
choice to stay there for a day and rest, or go with them. Of course
Silver Claw would want me to stay so he could get the others to
abandon me, or if he is still under some influence of evil, perhaps
he will try to kill them. I am not at all convince that I talked in
my sleep, and think that Silver Claw is still under the influence of
evil, or trying to get some sort of revenge on me to helping remove
his precious claw. I'm afraid that this will not end with a happy
ending between us...
