I just finished the assembly of a 503 from some misc parts I got from
i can't say where most came from.
Bought the complete ignition from a guy north of me.
Installed the points fan tower, the CDI coil, and the outer CDI box
from a Nippondenso setup on a DCDI original engine case and crank.
The parts went right on.
I was unsure of the crank keyway being in the right place but the cranks
from the snow engines is the same as the DCDI engines for ul.
One thing I did try, is pulling the rope to see if i had a spark.
A nice bright long jumper of a spark !!
Try that with the ducati,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
One thing I did notice, is that the openings for the trigger coils
mismatched with the older style fan tower, leaving some holes on each
side, shouldn't be a problem.
