I have just finished making beautiful green, blue and purple roving. I dyed two washed Shetland fleeces separately using Green Shades organic dying. I drum carded the fleeces twice, the second time with all three colors on the drum. I then pulled the wool off through a diz to make the multicolored roving. It is quite beautiful. There are photos on our fiber for sale web page at http://schoonoverfarm.wordpress.com/our-fiber-for-sale/
and more on my blog page describing the process at http://schoonoverfarm.wordpress.com/2012/07/11/multicolored-roving/
It is $13 per ~5 ounce bag or I would consider trades.
I also have natural light grey Shetland roving for sale. It was made from several of our Shetland sheep and processed into batts by Gretchens Mill. I then pulled it through a diz to make roving. It is $15 per ~8 ounce bag, and trades are considered. It is shown on our web page http://schoonoverfarm.wordpress.com/our-fiber-for-sale/
We also have skirted Shetland fleeces for sale in a variety of natural colors including light brown, light grey, chocolate brown, dark brown and black. These fleeces are described and their photos are available at the web page above as well as at http://schoonoverfarm.wordpress.com/more-fiber-for-sale/
