About the Seminar :
Speed and quality are to prime requirements of today's constructions. A developing country racing forward for economic prosperity searches for all round growth in agriculture, industries, power & infrastructures of airports, hangars, container terminals, roads & bridges, water supply etc. To contribute to such an allround growth, massive construction works are needed to be completed at a speed to provide commercial hubs, factories & industrial sheds, marketing centers and residential complexes along with all the requirements of corresponding infrastructures.
This challenge can only met with pre-engineered constructions to keep a balance on quality & cost of construction and at a speed to meet the aspirations of the nation. Different types of construction will need different types of technology and approach to design and method of constructions. It is proposed to discuss all these issues as much as possible in a day to be followed by detailed issues on specific technologies separately at later dates.
Seminar Themes :
It is proposed to deliberate on following in the seminar :
a) Design approaches to pre-engineered residential and commercial buildings.
b) Construction techniques in steel & concrete for above designs.
c) Design approach for structures in infrastructural projects.
d) Planning for and problems faced thereon in design, fabrication, transportation, erection & installations.
e) Tolerance limits, lack of fit, corrosion prevention & durability problems
