Hey Guys, Has anyone else noticed what I have in the analog mode of all of the XPR Radio's no matter what model. A Squelch and Audio Problem Re Surfaces After Firmware R01.08.00 To Date. If you are listening to a signal that is slightly loud or has a sudden change in volume the audio cuts out for a second. Now this problem was around in earlier firmware versions and had been fixed and now after Firmware Version R01.08.00 its back and unbearable to even use this radio in the analog mode. It almost sounds like the radio is in priority scan mode because if your listening to a loud signal it will do this every few seconds. I noticed that it has something to do with the squelch circuit because when I open it up permanently it does not blank out at all and works like it used to. I would like to add that I updated all three of my radio's firmware at the same time two portables and one mobile and they all do it at the exact same time and my friends radio that I didn't get to update yet is working fine. can anyone add to this find? I had brought this up to the Metrocom radio shop in NYC and they are having the same problem with the same firmware versions after R01.08.00 and up. Their Digital customers that still have analog channels are complaining about the very same problem.
