Could you please send me some of those feasibility reports for both trout and warmwater fisheries?
The various species of snowtrout (actually Cyprinids) are still quite common in many parts of Chitral, Gilgit and Baltistan. As for the Oxus Trout (a Brown Trout subspecies) I dont think it has ever been native to the the regions South of the Hindukush/Pamir watershed, despite the fact that the water conditions on both sides of the divide are nearly identical.
As for mahseer, I've discovered a place, a stream in an unlikely area that still produces fish of up to twenty pounds with five pounders being the average. Its in an uninhabited area. Insh'Allah I'll soon give it a try.

Yea I know that thier ranges do not generally overlap, this is not to
say that mahseer CANNOT survive in cold water, they can, but trout
cannot survive in higher tempretures. What I meant was that since the
niche of gamefish has been so successfully occupied by trout there has
been no focus on mahseer.
As far as indegenous species and the Oxus and Kunar snowtrout (the
latter of which is not a real trout) are concerned, we have I think let
these species fall too far and recovery is not possible except in
protected fisheries with management. This i believe is the future of
all freshwater fisheries in pakistan and to this end I am very
intrested in developing a string of commercial freshwater fisheries
encompassing a rangeof ecosystems and speices in Pakistan. I even have
