It is going to be a fairly detailed effort if someone is to answer your questions, however a much shorter and effective way is that you look for last few year's report of October to give you some idea of what are the options, also you can check the record catches to find out where those were taken.
Hope this will give you some help.

Subject: Pgfa.org - guidance for saltwater fishing
I am feeling a bit unhappy over the thing that i wasn't able to attend the Seminar. I am an experienced angler but new to sea fishing. I live in rawalpindi n its not very easy to reach the sea to quench the thirst for this addicting sport.I have tried Saltwater fishing twice in Kemari (bottom fishing). It was a very nice experience;we caught loads of small fish but i wasnt able to catch a big fish. Though everyone knows that its a matter of chance but still there are tips that can be helpful for beginners.
Im planning to go to karachi (just for fishing) in coming October
Can someone please guide me in short that:
1...where to fish, i mean the spot (where theres a chance to have big bites...i have just tried waters between manora n kemari because it wasn't possible to deep as swell was bigger )
2...bait type? (last times i just used prawns, both dead n alive)
3...Is October a suitable month for fishing in sea?
4....Should one has to reach deep waters to have big catches?
5...What technique other than BOTTOM FISHING one can use if he doesnt have special kind of rods n spinner reels?
WAITING FOR YOUR KIND RESPONSE.... ...BEST REGARDS

Subject: RE: Pgfa.org - 1st PGFA Saltwater Angling Seminar Highly Successful
I count myself the most unlucky person because right from the starting I was interested to join the seminar and in this regard I had also filled the form but unfortunately I got a high fever and some problem in stomach so that’s the reason why I was unable to join such a informative seminar. I am thanks full to all of my seniors for providing and sharing their knowledge with new ones. In future whenever this type of seminar will arrange I will definitely join to get the knowledge about fishing.
Thanks and Regards

Subject: Pgfa.org - 1st PGFA Saltwater Angling Seminar Highly Successful
Mazhar's Tackle shop in keamari was the scene of a highly successful informal seminar on saltwater angling on the evening of wednesday the 19th of August. 20-25 new anglers took part in an interactive and informative seminar on basic to intermediete level concepts of saltwater angling.
After a brief introduction to the PGFA and its objectives, each new angler was invited to share his present experience of angling and what his aims are for the future. Once familiar with our audience, the discussion moved towards a host of pre-arranged topics meant to deal with all the fundamentals of the sport in a logical order.
Topics covered included:
Casting (with a brief reference to jigging)
Tackle and terminal tackle
Drag and its caliberation
Reading the water - tides, moon phase, weather,
Where to fish
Species wise information
Given the immensity of these topics those areas which the audience by popular demand showed the most interest in were given more time.
A rich tapestry of experienced anglers were present to comment and explain each topic and this way a variety of opinions were shared with what has to be described as an excellent and eager to learn audience. It was this combination of experience and new enthusiasm that gave the meeting a special quality which no one person speaking alone could possibly achieve. This sort of collaboration to enhance participation in the sport is the very embodiment of the PGFA way.
Since all anglers love to talk, the idea was to put all this chatter to useful purpose and give some direction to an excellent group of new anglers.
The fact that four hours flew by without any participant budging from thier seats itself showed the success of the event and by popular demand as soon as info@... recieves enough requests for another seminar team PGFA will be ready to arrange it.
