My husband and I live in Germany (we are military) and currently trying to adopt from US Foster Care. We have a homestudy (as of 2/26) and have begun the search. So far I have made inquiries on three sets of sibs (from adoptuskids website) and have heard back about all three. Which means that at least in first impressions the fact that I lived overseas was not an automatic dismissal. They were from three different states as well. However, I do want to point out that many states are 'okay' with military abroad because of the wide array of support services that are available and that we will most likely come back to the states to live. You might want to look around and make sure you know what is available where you are since I am sure that will come up. I can give you more info as we progress in the process.
