Name: Uncommon Criminal: A Heist Society Novel.
Author: Ally Carter.
Narrator: Angela Dawe.
Length: 6 hours 46 minutes.
Kat Bishop and her crew of teenage criminals are back for
another installment. This sequel is just as gritty and adventurous as the
first. The beauty is that both books are written as stand-alone tales. In
other words, you don't need to have read _Heist _Society in order to enjoy
_Uncommon _Criminal. If you want to read _Heist _Society first, that's
perfectly all right. However, as I said, you don't necessarily need to read
that tale before digging into and devouring this title. Each story, each
adventure, if you will, is separate and complete unto itself. That's part of
the beauty of these books. There's also just the professionally superb
narration, the engrossing plots, the engaging characters, and the adventures
themselves all add up to make for truly captivating reads that latch onto
you from word one and keep you hooked till the end. To be more precise, they
are truly riveting page-turners throughout. At least, both tales have proven
so for me. I would love to read another installment in this series. If such
were to appear, I would grab onto it in a nanosecond and utterly devour it!
I would burn through reading it like a hot knife going through butter in no
the Cleopatra Emerald, an illustrious stone of immense wealth,
is coming to New York. The gem has quite the history, though. It is said
that the Cleopatra Emerald is cursed. NO matter how many times the
underworld has tried to steal it over the last forty years, something has
always gone wrong. It hasn't mattered how big or how small the crews trying
to steal it have been. Absolutely every crew that has attempted to boost it
has failed and failed utterly. Flush from repeated successes across the
globe, Kat Bishop is ready for a new challenge. When she's approached about
stealing the emerald from the unscrupulous dealer who possesses it in order
to return it to its rightful owner, she jumps at the chance to do so. Soon
after successfully lifting the gem from its New York location, Kat learns
she's been conned. Visilly Romani orders Kat to get the emerald back. The
question is, will she be able to do so successfully?
