Dear beloved, God bless you as you give over your mind to Him. God
enrich you as you remain steadfast in Him; God enable you as you
refuse to be swayed. May our Lord almighty give you grace and
strength to stand always. It is wonderful to share with you again.
Let us consider scripture:
Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have
heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels
proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received
a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a
salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and
was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, Hebrews 2:1-3
Dear saint, I want to encourage you in your walk with God; please,
work out your salvation with trembling lips. There is no one in
charge or at blame for my receipt or non receipt of salvation, but
myself; the same goes for you.
(See John 5:24-29)
Jesus tells of the Word that we must heed to in John 5:24.
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in
Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into
judgment, but has passed from death into life.
This is the only truth there is. If you will believe in Christ's
Word, believe in God, then you will have everlasting life. How can
one believe in this Word? By allowing the Holy Spirit reign, so He
makes the Word real in your life. If the Word is not real in your
life, then it will be difficult to heed to it. If the strength of
the Word is not quickened in your heart, then it will be difficult
for you to stay in that place of working out your salvation.
However, if you will allow the Holy Spirit supreme reign in your
heart; in effect, let your entire heart be circumcised, then you
will be able to hold on to His Word, and heed to it. The problem the
Israelites had in the wilderness was their lack of desire to hold on
to the Word that God had given them. They very quickly neglected
the Word due to the pressures of life, thereby, forgetting all that
God had done. They heaped judgement on their heads because they did
not heed, and they did not believe in Him. Saint, you can't afford
to walk in the footsteps of the Israelites while they were in the
wilderness; their stance of neglect, forgetfulness, lack of
perseverance, kept them in the wilderness for forty years! You can't
afford to neglect Christ's blood; His flesh; His promises!
Living in unrighteousness is neglecting our salvation! All these:
lying, cheating, anger, covetousness, gossip, greed, and all other
fruits of the flesh are really an act of neglecting salvation.
To work out my salvation, means this: that I am dead to this world
and its allure. It means that I refuse its power everyday over my
life. How can I achieve this; well, by the Holy Spirit's help!
Hence, in working out my salvation, I am actually living a death to
self lifestyle. In this place, I am alive to the Spirit, hearing His
Word and doing it! I am in no way neglecting the Word that Jesus
said! I am being quickened to do all that God commands; I am also in
that place where my flesh is not allowed to rule.
Beloved, this is what working out one's salvation means! This is
what taking heed means! It is as you are drawn to such an existence,
you are able to pass from this world into that place where you will
see Christ face to face, without fear of resurrection into
condemnation, but an assurance that you will on passing, go into
that glorious resurrection of life!
Yes, the resurrection of life! This is our goal! All of us! Not one
left out! Please, take heed today! Please, work out your salvation
every moment of your day! Yes, from morning to night; each day with
passion and urgency. Don't be complacent!
And as you take heed of His every Word, God bless you with His
