SKETCH-O-MAGIC By David Garrard (A Samuel Patrick Smith Release)
It's visual, magical and simple to do. It requires no set-up, and you can learn to do it in five minutes! And, it will fool and entertain your audience! Show the kids a large sketchpad. As you flip through the pages, point out that you've drawn a different face on each page: Happy faces; Puzzled faces; Funny faces; Goofy faces, etc. Each page is pre-cut into three segments to create a flipbook, where you can come up with lots of combinations by flipping to different pages. Show the kids how they can pick out the top of a head from one picture, then flip through the middle strips to find a nose from another picture. Then, flip through the pages to find a chin. This gives you many different combinations and creates some really funny pictures! Hand a large envelope to a spectator to hold. Now, flip through the first strips until a spectator tells you to stop. This gives you the top of the head. Next, a second spectator selects a middle section by the same method. Finally,!
as you flip through the bottom strips, a third spectator tells you when to stop. You have created a totally random and very funny picture with the help of the audience. Now, ask the spectator to open the large envelope. And yes, it's true he pulls out a picture, which exactly matches the picture created by the audience! This is strong magic, which really gets the audience involved. This is visual magic, which you can perform close-up or on stage. This is unique magic, which you'll love performing again and again. This is Sketch-O-Magic! Cost 25 15(Post free)
NERVOUS BREAKDOWN By Dominique Duvivier (Jeff Busby)
Here's what they see: Opening a small wallet, you announce it contains four Kings and a prediction card. The spectators can see the facedown cards trapped under the clear plastic sides of the wallet. Explaining you're committed to the prediction of just one King, you ask the spectator to mentally select any of the four suits' and announce it. He or she can change their mind as many times as they like, finally settling on just one. You remove the packet from the wallet and place it flat on the table. Just the one facedown prediction card remains on full view in the wallet. Again, saying you are committed, you spread the tabled packet with one finger. The only face-up card among the four is the named King! You remove that one named King from the spread. Here comes the next shock ... you turn it facedown. It has a different coloured back! You put the named King face-up on display in the wallet. Then, you slowly and fairly remove the single facedown prediction card trapped in t!
he other side. The wallet is empty - they can see that. Commenting that you knew which suit would be named you slowly turn the prediction over ... It's an Ace matching the King the spectator named! You toss it on the table - It's just one card. But, you're not finished yet! There's more! You say, "I was so sure that you'd pick that one King, I actually didn't use any others!" Sure enough, you turn each of the three final facedown cards upeach is a different Ace there are no other Kings at all! And, get this: There is no force - none whatsoever! The spectator can name any suit and it is always the face-up selection with an odd back ...There are no extra cards in the packet you place on the table - Just the four cards. Nothing is hidden, nothing is added, and nothing is taken away. No Rough and Smooth, no Double-Backed or Double-Faced cards. And. there is absolutely no sleight of hand - no false counting, no nothing! The ever-so-innocent-looking wallet does most of the w!
ork for you, but it is not just an attractive piece of work!
manship. It's also a clever prompter that virtually tells you what to do! The gaffs are expertly produced and designed; matching the standard Atlantis Poker cards in red and blue. The outfit includes the cards, the wallet, all extras, plus comprehensive photo-illustrated English language Instructions explaining everything you need to know about doing Dominique Duvivier's wonderful trick. SECRETS THE ORIGINAL MAGIC OF TERRI ROGERS (Martin Breese Publication)
The book contains a good sampling of Terri's card magic including a novel presentation of the rising cards called THE COMPUTER DECK. One of the plums of the book must be Terri's SMALLER'N THAT routine during which a deck of cards shrinks to one quarter of its original size. The method is ingenious and the presentation is very entertaining. You'll make up Terri's T.T.F.N. as soon as you read about it. A very funny routine demonstrating 'The Gambler's Cure' in which you bet the spectator 50 that your 'Impossible Prediction' will come true. Needless to say the spectator loses. There's much more in the book including THE CHINESE TWIST, IT'S A STICK UP, BLANK AMAZEMENT, BOTTOM'S UP, THE HOLEY TUBE, SHOOT OUT, THE ITALIAN ROPE TRICK, CURRY FLAVOUR and a collection of tips and hints under the title of TRY-THIS. It's very rare that so many instantly useable and practical items can be found in one volume. The book is hardbound with a laminated dust jacket and illustrated throughout!

Kirk Charles has been performing magic as a full-time profession since 1976. In 1981 he recorded his experiences and discoveries in Restaurant Magic in this booklet, which became known as the best single source of professional information on restaurant magic available. Here is what the experts had to say about it.
Since its publication in 1981, I have continually recommended Kirk Charles Tips on Table-Hopping as simply the very best book (with the worst title) that has yet been written on the subject of restaurant magic. Eugene Burger
Cant praise it highly enough, should have been done years ago. Daryl
Informative, well organized and highly practiced Phil Goldstein
In all a very intelligent and in-depth discussion of a field of close-up magic on which scant information exists. Very highly recommended book for the worker already established in this field, and the one thinking of entering it Jeff Busby
