If you're looking for historic adventure in Joplin, MO, the house at 3347-1/2 Oakridge
Drive where Officers Harryman and McGinnis died battling the Barrow gang is now
available for overnight stays and marvelously refurnished in '30s decor. We recently spent
a night there and it gives one a whole new feel of the shootout looking out from the
upstairs windows or walking about in the driveway, plus there are some visible bullet-
marks in the stone. The garage is walled in now and basically a basement but mates of the
original garage doors are in place and it looks much the same as in the old photos.

And of course there's a lot of other interesting sites for crime buffs in the Joplin area, as
we're all aware here.
