Dr. Ambika Kameshwar is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, singer, composer, and educationist, who has performed and taught in many countries around the world. She has a Ph.D. in Natyabhinaya (Indian Theater) and is a recipient of the prestigious 'Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu, India.� She has had intensive training in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and creative dance under Guru Kumari Meenakshi and Dr. Narendra Sharma.
�As a musician and core singer of the 'Ramananjali troupe', she has had initial training under her mother Smt. Sulochana Natarajan, and later under Dr. S. Ramanathan and Smt. Rukmini Rajagopalan.� She received advanced training in music from the legendary Smt. D. K. Pattammal.
�Dr. Kameshwar is the founder and director of� RASA - (Ramana Sunritya Aalaya - www.rasaindia.org), a unique charitable organization which focuses on the holistic development of each individual with special emphasis on children with disabilities through music, dance, drama, story-telling and other aspects of theater. This structured methodology, referred to as the Theater for Holistic Development, was developed by Dr. Kameshwar.
