Well -- its seems to me have exactly the same players we had on beyondirc.net... maybe a few less that didn't make the transition.
I don't like Galaxy net -- I don't like the ircd - that it doesn't adequately protect registered nicks (every other net I have been on, doesn't allow your registered nick to be used by others), and that we can only register one nick (other nets let you register at least two so that your alternate nick is registered too).
I've noticed some periods of disruption in service, a lot more frequently than on beyond, but I expect you will find that on any network.
I dislike the lack of diversity among the clientele on Galaxy net. I am sure they are glad to have us to add to their diversity. But seriously, as far as I can tell, its a singapore network and 95% or more of the clientele are from singapore. We have only picked up two new players and a resident irc op. I honestly believe on another more diverse network we would have picked up a lot more players by now.
Why are we here? Because we love playing in #KnowItAll -- and we will go to #KnowItAll whereever it is. But I don't think any one of us is here because we love galaxynet. I visited a couple of the other channels here and felt totally unwelcome and out of place.
I think we should set up a committee to really search for a better net for us to move to. Admit this one is a mistake, and "take our lumps", so to speak, and move on.

I have no problems connecting to galaxynet. The only
thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't prevent the
use of other people's registered nicks.
