Speaking of cyclamen. My wife received one as a gift 4 years ago.
Last year some of its flowers produced seed pods. I dried about a
dozen of the seeds for a couple of months and then planted the seeds
at varying depths (1/16 - 1/2") in one 12" clay pot. When nothing
happened after about six months I added additional soil to the pot
and transplanted an aloe into that pot and thoroughly watered in the
aloe cutting. Now, two months later I have 11 cyclamen plants
growing. I transplanted two of them to separate pots. The roots
extended nearly 2" below the surface of the soil and the stems
extended about 1 1/4" high above the soil.
